The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS): the statements announced by the Israeli occupation army spokesperson are an official threat to kill Palestinian journalists in Gaza

  1. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) confirms that the statements announced by the Israeli occupation army spokesperson are an official threat to kill Palestinian journalists in Gaza
and an attempt to justify massacres against journalists that the occupation plans to carry out against them in Gaza.
The PJS warned several times against committing new massacres against journalists in Gaza and it renews its warning again after the official threat made by a spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army Friday October 27th evening to a number of international news agencies.
In this context, the PJS stresses that the Israeli occupation, which has so far killed more than 24 journalists in Gaza and dozens of journalists’ families’ members, destroyed dozens of media institutions, and bombed dozens of journalists’ homes, has done this within a systematic policy and an official decision in order to intimidate journalists to prevent coverage of the largest genocidal war of the current century that the Israeli occupying state is planning against the Palestinian people in Gaza and wants to implement it away from the media.
We call on all international organizations affiliated with the United Nations to take the seriousness of the Israeli army’s prior justification for the massacres against journalists with the utmost seriousness and not to wait to send condolences for the loss of witnesses to the truth, but to act immediately to stop the massacres against journalists in Gaza before they happen.
Being silent is equivalent to participation in the crime, and equating the victim with the executioner is a justification for the killing of Palestinian journalists.
